Welcome to My Blog Site! I wanted to start an blog about my travel and Disney content as well as being an advocate for the disability community. I hope to have continued to inspire others to follow what your heart desires and not be a barrier for yourself. This world has tons of resources at your fingerprints. My hope for this blog is to help people change their perceptions about what the disability community and to have everyone love each other for who they are.

About Me!

My name is Caitlin and currently living in the state of North Carolina. (At this time, for safety reasons, I am not sharing my last name or current location.) At the time of this blog post, I am currently 23 years old. I was born and raised in Wisconsin for most of my childhood. I have one younger sister who is currently a high school senior. I graduated at Colby High School in 2014. After graduation, I have lived in the suburbs of the Twin Cities in MN for 4 1/2 years. I am currently attending East Carolina University getting my BS in Hospitality Management with a minor in business administration with a goal of graduating Spring 2025.

My Medical Journey

I was born premature 9 weeks early due to complications; the doctors have given my family a 20% chance to see me grow up, and have been through a lot since then. At the age of 4, I was diagnosed with Moderate to Severe Autism. Shortly after that, I was diagnosed with ADHD, otherwise known as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. As far as my family knows, my last diagnosis happened before the age of 6, but doesn't really know at what time. I had a rare brain virus, unknown and a mystery to doctors, but the side effects was losing all of my nerves of hearing in my left ear. This had caused me to become deaf in one ear.
